VA employs more than 14,000 physicians. While this vast workforce is dispersed across a nationwide integrated health care system, our medical professionals foster a culture of supporting young physicians as they grow in their practice. They do so in person at every VA facility, but also via VA's advanced communications infrastructure. VA physicians across the country share research, exchange best practices, and learn new information from one another using computer-based networking (mail groups), regular teleconferences, and online training.
