Recruitment is open for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for the Oklahoma City VAMC, Palliative Care unit/CLC.
You will perform a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, the following: The Licensed Practical Nurse - Nurse Manager (Palliative Care unit/CLC) will provide clinical and technical support to patients receiving care. Incumbent should be able to show evidence of strong positive interpersonal/ customer service skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary team members, patients, family members and significant others. The incumbent should also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. The LPN/PCU/CLC can utilize hospital computer programs and demonstrate integrity and dependability. Additionally, the CLC should show demonstrated ability to function as a self-directed, productive team member and adapt readily to varying patient care needs and fluctuation in workload with minimal RN supervision. The LPN/ CLC engages in nursing care which requires the knowledge and skills of an individual qualified as a licensed practical nurse.
Work Schedule: This position will be 12 hour shifts.
